Content Migration Services

Ultimately with any collaborative platform the range and quality of solutions and content drives its success. Many organisations have significant amounts of content on a range of exiting systems, obviously if this content could be consolidated, cleansed, rationalised and migrated to a platform like Office 365 then this could deliver a lot of business benefits. In line with our eight years plus experience of Office 365 and SharePoint we have acquired the skills and expertise to migrate a range of common legacy platforms.

We have worked with most of the best migration tool vendors for years so we know when these add value to the process or not, further we have also developed a range of our own tools, scripts and processes that make us very effective, efficient and affordable for even the most complex of projects.

Regular migration candidates

File shares

We have now migrated Terabytes of File share content. This high volume source needs careful thought when it comes to migration. If it’s already a mess, what do you do with it? Well there are lots of possibilities, but ultimately you should tidy up your old content, clean out, then re-structure it to get the best out of your new SharePoint Platform. We have the expertise, a range of services, tools and techniques to get this done right first time, effectively and economically. Like most of our services we can simply provide you with the needed tooling and assist you to do most of it yourself or provide a fully inclusive service.

Public Folder Migration

We can provide an efficient and cost-effective approach to Exchange Public Folder Migration. Public Folders have long been used to share information and served as a central repository to store messages, files, calendars, contacts, and more. Which means these stores can be both large and also mission critical, so they need to be migrated. We can reliably security map content, detect any illegal characters, gather user permissions, user names, user domains, and other legacy elements to migrate successfully into SharePoint.

Personal Content managed or Assisted migrations

Nearly every user has “their own” content that needs to be migrated thoughtfully into Office 365 or SharePoint, this can often be forgotten by the organisation, yet is key to users and their adoption of the new way of working. This content however is often the least regulated or managed and so present’s additional challenges.

Using some simple but effective tools we can provide an assisted DIY migration service into OneDrive for Business so this task is completed with minimal pain or cost.

Lotus Notes to SharePoint Migration

There are still masses of Lotus Notes users out there, many of which are considering migrating to Office 365 and SharePoint. We recognise there are often mission critical applications running on Lotus Notes as such many organisations really worry about this element of migration. It’s is true to stay they that some migrations can be quite complicated, but over the last few years we have assessed, retired, migrated or re-composed more than 10,000 such solutions. We have migrated thousands of simple solutions to standard SharePoint structures and recomposed hundreds of complex solutions via custom development. Some customers choose on-premise SharePoint, while others took advantage of SharePoint Online with Office 365 or indeed a hybrid of the two.

We are experts at migration, which means we can tackle both big and little projects using repeatable practises and tools; this makes us efficient, safe and importantly affordable.
